WHAT ABOUT MIMI? AIRS NATIONALLY ON TELETOON
For Immediate Release - Monday September 25, 2000 Vancouver, B.C - What About Mimi?, the second original animated series created by Vancouver's Studio B Productions, premieres nationally on Teletoon Wednesday, October 4 at 7 p.m. (The series will regularly run twice weekly: Wednesdays at 7 p. m. and Sundays at 6 p.m.. Teletoon's French network launch date is October 17 at 7 p.m. and the regular schedule is Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 6:30 p.m.) What About Mimi? stars 11 year-old Mimi Mortin, problem-solver extraordinaire, who is as resourceful as she is impulsive - kind of a kid's Ally McBeal. Guided by good intentions, hostage to a wild imagination and prone to random emotional impulses - Mimi always has a plan - whether her friends and family like it or not! Along with What About Mimi?, which is being distributed by Decode (Angela Anaconda, Rainbow Fish), Studio B has also launched Yvon of the Yukon (13 episodes) on YTV (distributed by Alliance/Atlantis) and will launch its third original series D'Myna Leagues (13 episodes) on CTV in January 2001, distributed by Columbia Tri-Star. Studio B recently wrapped pre-production on Corduroy the Bear and Gahan Wilson's The Kid for Nelvana.
