STUDIO BAGS NEW SEASONS FOR ALL THREE ORIGINAL SHOWS For Immediate Release - July 18, 2001 Vancouver-based Studio B Productions is pleased to officially announce that all three of its original animated children's series currently airing on national television have been picked up for next season's line-up. D'Myna Leagues - this 13 x 30 minute fast paced show features the wacky baseball adventures of a team of teenage myna birds. D'Myna Leagues has been picked up for a second season by CTV and is set for delivery in spring 2002. Columbia TriStar will continue to manage the distribution for the series and YTV is on board for a second season as well. Additional partners include BC Film, Canadian Television Fund (CTF), Telefilm (EIP), CTF License Fee Program (LFP), Shaw Children's Programming Initiative: the Shaw Television Broadcast Fund and the Dr. Geoffrey R. Conway Fund. D'Myna Leagues currently airs on CTV every Saturday at 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., and launches on YTV this fall. What About Mimi? - this 13 x 30 minute award-winning weekly show is a family-oriented cartoon that centers on the hilarious world of Mimi Mortin. What About Mimi? has been picked up for a third season by Teletoon, set for delivery in spring 2002, and will be distributed by Decode Entertainment. Other partners include CTF, EIP, LFP and the Canwest Global CWIP fund. The show currently airs on Teletoon at 7:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. Yvon of the Yukon - the 13 x 30 minute top-rated weekly series for kids about a 300 year-old recently unfrozen French explorer in Upyermukluk and his friend Tommy, has been picked-up for a second season by YTV. It is set for delivery this fall and will be distributed by Alliance Atlantis Kids. Additional partners for this show include LFP, the Shaw Children's Programming Initiative: the Shaw Television Broadcast Fund and the Dr. Geoffrey R. Conway Fund.
